It is reported that Dr. Haritha Aluthge, Secretary of the Government Medical Officers Association, said that when the representatives of the International Monetary Fund arrive on September 14, they will intensify the protests against the government’s tax policy.
Dr. Haritha Aluthge who commented on this matter,
“A number of members who are at the leadership level of many of our trade unions went to the President’s Secretariat and asked for an opportunity for a discussion. But we must understand that if the government still believes in the message, then as professionals, they will use this patience wrongly, and instead of solving our problem, they will sweep this issue under the carpet. The professionals of this country will not allow it to close the problem. If the rulers try to misuse our patience, we have decided to give the necessary answers at this time. When the IMF team arrives on September 14th, we will take this protest process to the maximum point.”
