It is reported that the Chairman of the Coconut Cultivation Board, Madhavi Herath, said that 700 special machines have been used to control the white flies that are damaging the coconut cultivation.
She further mentioned that it is hoped to expand orange as a commercial cultivation in the future and to promote orange cultivation damaged by whiteflies, about 35 lakh orange plants are ready to be planted by the end of this year.
