It is reported that the officials of the Sri Lankan Customs Narcotics Control Division have succeeded in finding a consignment of drugs sent to Sri Lanka by post.
These drugs were found during the inspection of 25 parcels suspected to contain narcotics during the raids carried out in the Central Post Exchange, where 2193 pills of Ecstasy containing Methamphetamine, 1740 grams of kush drug and 29 grams of Amphetamine were found.
It is reported that the value of the drug stock that has been found has been confirmed to be nearly 43 million rupees.
Those parcels were sent from the countries of Germany and England to the addresses of people residing in Colombo, Maharagama, Battaramulla, Boralasgamuwa, Panadura, Moratuwa and Kandy and further investigations revealed that they were fake addresses.
It is also reported that after conducting further investigations, this stock of drugs is to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau.
