India has officially handed over a Donier 228 maritime surveillance aircraft to Sri Lanka and it is reported that the aircraft was officially handed over to Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, Senior Advisor to the President, at a ceremony held in Kartuna today (16).
It is said that the Donier aircraft used by Sri Lanka has been taken to India for annual maintenance and until it is returned, this new aircraft will be used for the use of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
