It is reported that after calling all institutions related to vocational training before the COPE Committee in Parliament, the COPE Committee has authorized the Secretary of the Ministry of Education to prepare a common program in coordination with all vocational training institutions.
It is due to the issuance of this order by the Chairman of the Cope Committee, Member of Parliament Professor Ranjith Bandara.
Also, the Ministry of Education, the Vocational Training Authority, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the National Youth Service Council, the Vocational Technology College, etc., participated in this COPE committee meeting, the Parliamentary Communications Department announced in a statement.
Also, it is a problem that this institute system does not have any acceptable data system, courses should be conducted on a scientific basis targeting the job market, and the need for a market survey for that, and the number of students enrolled in the course conducted by these institutions and those who successfully complete the training are employed. It is said that the need for a formal data system in terms of numbers was also noticed here.
