According to a survey conducted by the Association of Public Safety Inspectors, 18% of the restaurants in Sri Lanka have been reported to have food and drinks that are unfit for public consumption and are of substandard quality.
According to reports, the President of the Public Health Inspectors Association, Upul Rohana, has said that the lack of permanent workers in the restaurants has affected the situation.
