It is reported that the Ceylon Electricity Board has said that it will be able to provide relief to the people in the next revision of the electricity bill as hydropower production has increased due to the rainy weather.
Electrical engineer Noel Priyantha, the media spokesman of the board, says that this relief can be given if this situation continues.
He has stated this yesterday (13).
He has also stated that 52 percent of the national electricity production is produced by water.
He said that there is good rainfall in the vicinity of the power plants.
