It is reported that 10 train journeys including 5 office trains have been suspended today (13) as a professional action by train drivers.
Railway Deputy General Manager N. J. Idikolage stated that 2 train journeys were scheduled to run from Halawata – Colombo on the Puttalam route, 2 trains were scheduled to run from Polgahawela – Maradana, 3 train routes were scheduled to run from Hikkaduwa – Maradana, Alutgama Maradana and Kalutara Maradana on the coastal route. Mahawa-Colombo Fort train, Rambukkana-Colombo Fort and Kurunegala-Colombo Fort trains were also cancelled.
