It is reported that the Urban Development Authority has said that 600 million rupees have been allocated in this year’s budget for the city beautification project.
The authority has also stated that it is planned to complete the work of 9 projects with the said provisions.
These projects are the development of Gampaha, Minuwangoda, Panadura, Alavwa, Horana and Avissawella public markets, the development of Warakapola and Mullativu bus stations and the construction of Nedavur Beach Park.
It is said that these projects are being implemented on the advice of Urban Development and Housing Minister Mr. Prasanna Ranatunga.
. The Minister has instructed the Urban Development Authority to prepare plans to complete the relevant projects by the end of this year.
