It has been confirmed that Sita was shot near Mahianganaya Rajamaha Vihara using live bullets.
Professor Ashoka Dangolla of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Peradeniya University said that this was confirmed by the scan done yesterday (03).
“Perhaps a scan has been done. An X-ray has also been done. The X-ray machine was not able to go through the chest and give a good X-ray. But the scan showed that there are 7 wounds. In those wounds, there is something made of metal called live bullets. It is clear that we have these pieces of metal and not plastic. We are sure that these are live ammunition. They should be removed, but we have not made a decision yet.”
