It is reported that today (26) a trade union action has been started by government surveyors reporting sick leave in protest against the arbitrary actions of the Minister of Lands.
Mr. Duminda Undugoda, President of the Government Surveyors Association, who commented further in this regard,
“Give solutions to the physical human and resource problems that have arisen in the surveying department. Also, there are many problems that have arisen from the professional side of surveying. We request you to provide solutions to them. At this time, the surveying department is handing over the surveying work to the private sector and doing many misdeeds. No. If there are no answers to this too, we will report sick leave again on August 2. Also, we will hold a protest in Colombo.”
