It is reported that the President’s Office of the Parliament has implemented a program to open tax files for all members of the ruling party.
Accordingly, this program is being implemented by the Revenue Collection Division headed by Mr. Ashu Marasinghe, President’s Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs and Mr. Saman Ekanayake, President’s Secretary.
Also, according to that program, all the ruling party MPs will be called to the President’s Office of the Parliament and the tax files will be prepared for them.
The Office of the President of the Parliament has stated that about 30 MPs who had not opened tax files so far have opened new tax files under this program.
