It is reported that the Ceylon Teachers Association has informed the Director of Education of the North Central Province to conduct an immediate investigation regarding the release of the history question paper of the 11th grade term examination of the North Central Province given today (29) four days ago.
Mr. Priyantha Fernando, the President of Ceylon Teachers Association stated that the teachers of Tuition classes in Dimbulagala, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa have charged Rs.
The principals of six schools in Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa complained to the Provincial Education Director regarding this incident.
The Chairman of the Ceylon Teachers’ Association said,
“The responsibility of the provincial education department, which prints and distributes the question papers, is to maintain the confidentiality of those question papers. It is not us who should complain to the police about this. It is the provincial education department. There is information that the mathematics question paper of this term’s examination has also been leaked. In this regard, the provincial The Education Department should conduct an immediate investigation and take strict action to prevent such activities from happening again and again.”
