It is reported that a chemical manufacturing factory in Homagama industrial town has been completely destroyed by fire.
About half an hour after the fire started, the fire fighting unit reached the place and by that time the factory was completely burnt down.
It is further reported that due to this fire, toxic smoke has now spread to Godagama and Pitipana.
It has also been informed to close water wells, use masks and follow safety measures.
