It is reported that a police constable who went to raid an illegal liquor shop in Malayalapuram, Kilinochchi has gone missing.
A 27-year-old constable resident of Walasmulla who was attached to Kilinochchiya Police Station has gone missing.
According to reports, yesterday (14th) morning, 4 officers including this police constable went to the relevant raid near the Malayalapuram lake. Later, three officers checked the place and searched the forest area around the police constable who is suspected to be missing. But due to the fact that the constable did not come for several hours, the other officers checked it and then informed the police station commander of Kilinochchi due to his absence.
Then the police station commander started investigations to find the constable who is suspected to be missing using a police official dog, but he has not been able to find him. The Trincomalee Army Camp and the Police Special Task Force have also taken assistance in the search operations for this constable.
