It is reported that a three-wheeler driver set his body on fire and then set fire to the three-wheeler in Haddagoda area of Bandaragama.
The 54-year-old father of two, who was seriously injured in the incident, is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Horana Primary Hospital.
It has been revealed in the initial investigation by the police that the body was set on fire due to a family dispute.
A hospital spokesman has said that the body of the concerned person is severely burnt.
The police have mentioned that the three-wheeler was also completely destroyed in the fire.
It is said that Panadura division crime lab officials came to the scene of the incident and conducted investigations.
Bandaragama Police is conducting further investigations.
