It is reported that it was revealed that the annual reports of the Land Reforms Commission have not been submitted to Parliament since 2015 when the officers of the commission were called before the COPE Committee.
It is stated that the chairman of the COPA committee expressed his displeasure over the fact that no report has been published since the last annual report submitted in 2015, despite the continued emphasis of the COP committee to submit those annual reports.
Also, it has been reported that although the Committee recommended in the last meeting that the Land Reform Commission should perform its duties properly in the allocation of land, no progress has been made yet.
Thus, the chairman has instructed the ministry to conduct an immediate investigation at the ministerial level regarding the missing files of the Land Reforms Commission.
