It is reported that Laxman Kiriella, Member of Parliament of Samagi Jana Balavega said that almost all the business companies in Sri Lanka have collapsed, it was the government that bankrupted the country, and the taxes brought by the government have no justice.
He has also mentioned that even though the government is trying to collect taxes that have been removed, tax collection should be done according to the law and a proper system, and that every new tax system will be taken to court.
Mr. Lakshman Kiriella has further stated that in order to recover the country from this situation, an election should be held immediately and a referendum should be allowed.
