It is reported that Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, member of Parliament of the National People’s Force, has stated that the government has no program to retain the intellectuals in the country, and the government’s response to the intellectuals has caused more frustration for the scholars.
She says that the government does not have a problem even if the state universities are closed, and the children of Deya will lose their right to higher education due to this.
Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Member of Parliament of the National People’s Liberation Army, who also commented,
“There is a shortage of about half of university students. Teachers go abroad for educational purposes and other reasons. This is not an economic issue based on salary.
The reason for these people to go abroad is that they have lost hope for the country and uncertainty about the future. No one can tell about the state of the country today. A crisis affecting all sectors is emerging in the country.
