It is reported that Mr. Vijitha Herath, the Gampaha district member of the National People’s Liberation Army, said while addressing the parliamentary debate on the restructuring of the domestic debt that the government repeatedly said that it would not write off the domestic debt.
The MP has further stated that the cabinet paper has clearly stated that the domestic debt will be cut as a precondition presented by the committee of international sovereign bond holders, and that the people have no faith in a government and central bank governor who mislead the people in this way.
The MP has further stated that decisions are being made by force about the money earned by the people working in the private sector, a case has already been filed in the Supreme Court, and the case will be heard on the 13th, and it is inappropriate to hold such a debate.
