It is reported that Wahalkada Police has arrested a police sergeant and two others who went on a night hunt in Issennewa reserve yesterday (16).
It is said that a team of police officers under the station commander of Wahalkada Police arrested the two suspects along with the firearm while patrolling the area.
At that time, the concerned police officer had the T56 duty firearm in his possession and it has also been taken into police custody.
This police officer was attached to the Rotawewa Police Station under the Morawewa Police and the other two suspects are 50-year-old residents of Wahalkada area.
Investigations have revealed that the concerned police sergeant who was on duty at the police station met the other two suspects who were keeping chickens in Issennawa area, killed an animal and gave them the official firearm to sell for meat and slept in a hut.
