There is a report from Gampaha about an incident in which a husband cut off his 42-year-old wife’s leg due to a family dispute.
After the wife’s leg was amputated, she was admitted to the Gampaha District General Hospital along with the part of her leg, but due to the delay in admission for treatment, the leg cannot be transplanted.
It is reported that she is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
