It is reported that a person has committed suicide by strangling himself because his mistress had gone abroad for a job in the country.
This man had been in a relationship with his mistress for over 20 years and he was a 64-year-old resident of Kahantota area in Malambe.
As his legal wife did not come forward to accept his body, the mistress’s daughter had to accept this body.
Taking into account the evidence presented and the medical examination, it was confirmed in the autopsy that this was a suicide.
