It is reported that yesterday (25) in Bagavantalawa area, while giving food to her child, due to a sudden illness of the mother, the food got stuck in the throat of the baby who was eating and the baby died.
The 26-year-old mother was giving food to her daughter when the mother suddenly had epilepsy. It is said that the infant who was eating at that time unfortunately lost her life due to food getting stuck in her throat.
The Bagwantala Police have stated that when the infant daughter was lying on the ground hugging her mother, the neighbors tried to take both of them to the hospital, but the girl died at the time of hospitalization.
The dead body of the girl has been sent to Dik Oya Base Hospital for post-mortem.
