It is reported that Ceylon Petroleum Statutory Corporation has earned a dividend of about 120 billion rupees in the year 2023.
Although the fuel distributors claimed that fuel consumption in the country had decreased by 50 percent by December of that year, considering the sales process that was in line with the fuel prices in the last few months of the year, a spokesperson said that the corporation has recorded a higher profit compared to previous years.
The corporation also says that there is no truth in the statements made by some parties that the profit of the mineral oil corporation is at a dangerous level due to the reduction of competition with the Chinese fuel companies Sinopec.
Therefore, there is no need to privatize it and it is reported that the corporation is preparing to meet the future goals by increasing the dividends further.
