It is reported that the Minister of Judicial Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms Acharya Wijayadasa Rajapaksa stated that out of 16,479 suspected drug samples submitted for testing by the police in 2022, it has been confirmed that 1034 have not even been contaminated with drugs.
The Minister further stated that he hopes to request the Minister of Public Security to take appropriate action against the police officers involved in this incident and that this incident will be closely monitored in the coming week.
