It is reported that another pregnant heifer in the cattle herd, which has been roaming freely in the Gampola Moragolla road for more than fifteen years, has been killed and the calf taken out and a part of the animal has also been taken away.
There were more than fifteen animals in this herd, and due to the occasional killing and smuggling of animals for meat, there are currently five animals in the herd.
They say that although the local residents have informed the police about this several times, no solution has been found.
The locals mention that a cub from this herd was also stolen a few days ago.
