The initial objections presented by the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance to dismiss two fundamental rights petitions submitted by the National People’s Force and Paffaral Organization requesting a verdict that the basic rights of the people were violated by not holding the local government polls that were scheduled to be held last March. It is reported that today (27) the five-member Supreme Court bench consisting of judges Bhuvanekabahu Aluvihare, Priyantha Jayawardene, Vijith Malalgoda, Murdra Fernando and Gamini Amarasekara rejected.
