The one-day cricket tournament consisting of three matches between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is scheduled to start from today (25).
Accordingly, the 16-member cricket squad led by Dasun Shanaka for this tournament was named yesterday (24) by the Sri Lanka Squad Cricket Institute.
In the announcement issued by the Sri Lanka Reserve Cricket Institute, it has been stated that Bhanuka Rajapakse’s request to withdraw from the squad was allowed and he has informed that he needs to take a break from ODIs.
Dhananjaya Lakshan, Kasun Rajitha, Ashen Bandara, and Lahiru Kumara, who joined for the tournament against Australia earlier this year, have been called for this squad.
Today (25) will be a day and night match at Pallekele Stadium starting at 2.30 pm.
