A wild elephant named Chandi from Gallalelle, who was being treated together with Polonnaruwa and Giritale wildlife officers for many days, died yesterday (29) afternoon.
It is reported that he died in Gallalella, Suvasetagama area.
An elephant named Chandi was shot by a hunter and was seriously injured in the Polonnaruwa Jalgalum Valley National Park. Although he was treated by doctors on several occasions, Chandi passed away yesterday afternoon.
