It is reported that the water level of the tributaries of the Kalu Ganga, the Maguru Ganga and the Kuda Ganga, have risen due to the prevailing heavy rains.
The Hydrology and Waste Management Division of the Irrigation Department has issued a statement stating that the water levels of those rivers are continuing to rise and the water levels of those rivers are at a level that needs attention.
Also, in the announcement, it has been further mentioned that the water level of the Nilwala river is also rising, and the water level of the Nilwala river is rising from Panadugama and Talagahagoda areas.
The unit has further stated that its water level is now at a level that needs attention.
