It is reported that the Government’s Family Health Services Association stated that triphosha has been stopped for children under 3 years of age for more than a year, and this is causing serious problems regarding the nutritional status of children.
Devika Kodituvakku, the president of the association, has mentioned that the malnourishment of children has been on the rise in recent times, and therefore urgent action should be taken in this regard.
But since there is a low percentage of aflatoxin in maize, it is not possible to produce Triposha for small children, Mr. Deepthi Kularatne, the president of Triposha Company, has stated.
