It is reported that Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has held two meetings with the Chairman and Chief Engineers of the Ceylon Electricity Board to raise awareness about the reforms in the electricity sector.
Accordingly, the minister stated that during the discussion held on the 14th, the plans for the transfer of employees and assets, the establishment of successor companies to take over the generation, transmission and distribution were discussed.
Also, the progress of reforms in the power sector, the proposed structure for the power sector, the establishment of the reform secretariat and its role have also been discussed here.
