It is reported that the Criminal Investigation Department has arrested two city council office assistants who defrauded nearly two crores of rupees.
The Criminal Investigation Department has stated that these two suspects committed the money fraud by changing the computer data.
The arrested suspects are two office assistants working in Kalmunai Municipality.
The Criminal Investigation Department has further revealed that the amount they defrauded is 18 million rupees.
