It is reported that the Maharagama police have arrested two cooks of the Maharagama hospital who allegedly stole dry food items.
It is said that the hospital administration has informed the police that the dry food stored in the kitchen for preparing food for the inpatients of this hospital has been missing for some time.
The arrest was made by the police when these two suspects were about to take a stock of dry food in a three-wheeler.
It is said that the arrested suspects are 38 and 54 years old and are residents of Bandaragama, Homagama.
Maharagama police are investigating to arrest two more suspects involved in this theft.
