It is reported that the Department of Railways has said that the Colombo Fort Badulla train, which was blocked due to the collapse of Paskandu rocks on the railway line between Ohia Idalgashinna railway stations, has been restored this morning (7).
It is said that Paskandu rocks have collapsed yesterday (6) afternoon at 12 stations on the Udara railway between Ohia Idalgashinna railway stations along with the rains.
In the midst of heavy fog and cold rains, the technicians of the Ohio Railway Division of the Railway Department, the railway workers and the troops of the Rifle Corps of the Diyatalawa Army Camp worked hard to remove the rocks that had collapsed on the railway track and the Badulla-Colombo train service was restored by this morning (7). The Railway Department has stated that it was done.
