It is reported that the Disaster Management Center has announced that water will be distributed to hospitals and other institutions in addition to the people affected by the dry weather.
Its director general, retired Major General Sudanta Ranasinghe, said that the water distribution works will be done using bowser trucks.
Meanwhile, Director of Water Resources Planning of the Ministry of Irrigation, Engineer LRM Perera says that people should work to use water sparingly.
