He further stated that the water level of 73 main reservoirs of the island has dropped to 9.8% and the water level of 11 Mahaweli reservoirs has also dropped to 30%.
Actions have been taken to pump water from the cultivation wells of businesses that do not have sufficient water facilities for cultivation in the spring season under the main reservoirs and central reservoirs.
