Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the North, North Central, Eastern, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces after 2 pm.
The Meteorological Department said that there will be a few showers in the western coastal areas during the morning.
People are also advised to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers of temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunder showers.
