Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in many parts of the island during the evening or night, the Met Department said.
Accordingly, in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western, Uva and North-Central Provinces and in some places in the Ampara District.
Heavy showers over 100 are also possible. The Meteorological Department also urges the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
