The complaint filed against State Minister Sanath Nishantha alleging contempt of court was called today (27) before the bench of Judges Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne and A. Marikkar of the Court of Appeal and it is reported that the Court of Appeal ordered to call the relevant complaint on July 13.
It is stated that the Deputy Solicitor General Lakmini Giragama, who appeared for the Attorney General, informed the court that the notice under the Evidence Special Provisions Act, which is related to the examination of the CD tapes submitted as evidence related to this case, has now been filed before the court.
It is also reported that the court ordered to inform the respondent on the 13th whether the relevant notice has been received.
